The Frenchman believes that the competition for the striker role will benefit him greatly.
Last season, Giroud played an important part in front of goals for Arsenal, he scored 22 goals in all competition.
Giroud and Yaya Sanoga are the only strikers present at Arsenal. While Arsene Wenger have options like Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott both can also play as a center forward but they are usually seen on the wings.
Giroud, 27, who is currently on international duty, told, “I can tell you Arsenal will add a striker to the team. We need another striker. Great clubs have several good strikers, who compete with each other.”
The France international further added on his World Cup hopes that he has done well in the friendly games and now it depends on the coach Didier Deschamps who he thinks might give him a start along with Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.
