Earlier today, it was reported that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Manchester United winger Antonia Valencia.
Liverpool are planning to make an offer for Antonia Valencia as Rodgers look to bloster his squad for the Champions League campaign next season, according to Express.
The 28-year-old was signed by Alex Ferguson in 2009 since then he has made 191 appearances for the Red Devils. Valencia came to United for £16 million and his current value is £8 million.
It is clear that Valencia is not a part of Louis van Gaal's plans and he will definitely be moving after the World Cup in July.
Liverpool boss Rodgers, who has already signed Rickie Lambert and Emre Can is an admirer of Valencia because of his capability of playing both as a winger and a right back.
For me this is a worst news, there is no such spark in him that could even attract a Liverpool fan and secondly how can a United player be a part of Liverpool?
In the past there have been many players who played for both the sides but they were quality, he is not young who can be signed on long term basis. Rodgers might be eyeing him to give Johnson a fight at right back role but for that position we have Jon Flanagan who has proved himself in the last season.
