Zenit St Petersburg paid €55 million to Porto for the Brazilian in 2012 and are not prepared to sell their star player.
Recently, NBC journalist Micheal Stafford claimed that the London side had submitted a £20 million to the Russian giants for their 27-year-old striker. But according to a reliable source from United States Jonathan Tannenwald, Stafford is a fraud.
Tannenwald tweeted, “Micheal Stafford is a fraud, he doesn't work for NBC or write for their soccer coverage.”
Hulk who will be representing Brazil this month in the World Cup scored 21 goals and set up 8 in 32 appearances for the Russian side in Russian Premier League and Champions League last season.
Arsenal need a world class striker and they have not targeted any big name, Hulk would be a perfect choice but for him, Arsenal will have to splash money.
