Nani who signed a five year deal last summer has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old started only 7 games in the last Premier League season. Yesterday, Nani played full 90 minutes for Portugal against Germany in the World Cup.
While United are ready to pay £10million for Belgian center back Vermaelen.
Nani has not played regular football since long and a move to Emirates will not guarantee him the starting lineup, but he can provide a backup and can prove to be useful for Arsenal.
While on the other hand, Arsenal attacking midfielder Santi Cazorla is desperate to join Atletico Madrid and will accept a pay cut.
Gunners are also keeping tabs on Steven Caulker who is set to leave Cardiff City this summer.
