Since the first day of appointment of Luis Van Gaal at Manchester United, the future of several underperforming players is un-clear. It is a characteristic feature of former Dutch Manager Personality that he does not bear any lack in form from his players. It seems that Van Gaal is observing every move of his players make on the pitch as close circuit cameras were installed at the Manchester United training pitch. Speaking in a Pre Match Conference, the united boss made his intentions clear about trimming the squad.

“You have to give the player a chance to make a transfer when I see that his prospects to play are not so high. You have to say it in advance because it’s too late after August 31”, Van Gaal.
So there are number of players who are most likely to face the hatchet. And due to lack of European Football, Manchester United can afford to cut short their squad.
Shinji Kagawa:
Kagawa is one of the players who is expected to leave Manchester United in this transfer window. The 25 year old Japanese never got enough chances under Sir Alex and former United Boss Moyes. And after it seems that he is not in Van Gaal’s future plans either, he’ll better decide which club he choose sooner rather than later.

Since joining Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund, Shinji Kagawa has just scored 7 goals for the English team.
Marouane Fellaini:
The Belgian Midfielder is a player whom David Moyes brought in for a hefty fee of £27.5 Million. But he wasn’t up to his high price tag and became a flop. As Manchester United got rid of Moyes last season, now they’re looking to replace Fellaini as well. It seems that Louis Van Gaal will even suffer a financial blow as clubs aren’t looking to pay huge fee for Fellaini.

Since joining Manchester United last summer, Fellaini failed to score even a single goal for the Red devils last season.
Tom Cleverly:
Here is a player who wasn’t supported by the fans in his entire time at Old Trafford. He was another flop of Moyes’ era. When a petition was passed on internet before World Cup with thousands of signatures on it to remove cleverly from England World Cup Squad, his morale suffered a major blow. Now with Everton looking to match the asking price of English Midfielder, he can count his days remaining at Old Trafford.

Hernandez:
After scoring 20 goals in his debut season in 2010-11, Hernandez was tipped as “The Next Big Thing”. But he suffered a major shift in his form after that season. With the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie on the field, his chances were always limited and he was a fourth choice striker behind Welbeck last season. Now when Louis Van Gaal can afford to lighten his squad due to lack of European Football, the Mexican Striker might be heading to La Liga with Atletico Madrid seemingly interested.

Anderson:
Some call him the biggest mistake of Alex Ferguson’s Managerial career. He was brought to the Manchester Club with a huge price of £26 Million from FC Porto. But he was never able to justify it. Last season, he was loaned to Fiorentina and now side lined due to calf injury. He could be another victim of Gaal’s trimming once Manchester United can find a buyer for him.

There are couple of other names such as Zaha and Nani but reportedly there is no interested club in these players so far. So after a disastrous season, Manchester United are now looking to bounce back and to do so, they have to sell some flops and bring in new exciting talent.
