Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told that he is searching for a defensive midfielder and might sign before the transfer window ends.

Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta who suffered an injury on Wednesday in the Champions League playoff game against Besiktas is out for two weeks which has probably given Wenger a serious notice that now they need a midfielder in the last ten days of the transfer window.
When Wenger was asked about new signings after Arteta’s incident, he replied: “We are not against that, no.”
Wenger is considering to buy a midfielder but this is not an emergency case according to him.
With yesterday’s news of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira revealed that he is set to move after he rejected a new deal at Santiago Bernabeu according to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
The World Cup winner has just a year left on his Madrid’s contract. While Bayern Munich are also planning to enter the race as former German star Franz Beckenbauer urged Khedira to sign for the Bundesliga winners.
While Telegraph reported that the Gunners might sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho after their skipper’s injury. Chelsea are reportedly set to fight for the 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder.
