Mignolet had too many errors last season which might be due to no competition for the keeper spot. The Belgian was the only number one keeper present at Anfield as Brad Jones is not good enough to play in the Premier League.
With the arrival of Valdes, Mignolet might now improve as he knows he can be benched anytime.
Mignolet has also made mistakes this season against Manchester City, the match ended as 3 – 1 in favour of the Citizens, he made two errors which led to goals.
Valdes is an experienced goalkeeper, has a vast Champions League experience along with three trophies.
He played only for Barcelona from his childhood. The 32-year-old 535 games for the Catalans since 2002.
Buying a player like Valdes on a free transfer is a good choice.
