The World Cup winner suffered a knee injury after Chelsea clash last weekend and the club advised the German FA to check him as he had a international duty this week. And now, German FA have confirmed that he will be returning to London for further treatments on his injury.
The 25-year-old could not train with the Germany squad earlier today as he had a medical test (MRI scan) to check the seriousness of the injury.
Arsenal have denied to predict the date of return as they said that its too early to predict, first they have to check him.
It was reported on Arsenal’s official website: “The club will make further assessments and it is too early to say how long Ozil may be out of action.”
It might not be a big blow for the Gunners as he has not been in top form this season. The former Real Madrid player who moved for £42.5million price last summer is struggling this season. He has played 6 games for Arsenal in Premier League but have not been in top form.
In total, he has played 48 games since joining the Emirates side last year.
