Liverpool signed Mario Balotelli for 16 million pounds in the summer transfer window. The Italian is yet to score his first Premier League goal for Liverpool. He scored the only goal in the first group game of the Champions League against Ludogorets.

Today, a goalless draw was seen between Liverpool and Hull despite of having so much chances in front of goals. Especially Balotelli, he missed an open chance which could have been a match winner. It was a simple tap-in in the stoppage time but he failed to make it an assist for his fellow Philippe Coutinho.
Balotelli also missed a golden chance to open his account in the Premier League last weekend against Queens Park Rangers.
Liverpool certainly missing the strike force they had last season, despite of Luis Suarez departure to Barcelona, Brendan Rodgers can still make the most from Daniel Sturridge once he return from his second injury (Calf injury) of the season.
Balotelli should be benched for the next game against Newcastle United till Sturridge return. The Italian cannot play as a lone striker as it is proved from his past performances. With the arrival of Sturridge, Balotelli might prove to be different.
It was also reported few days ago that he might be planning to leave in January which was kind of rubbish rumours from the media outlets.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been defending the 24-year-old since the start and still believes that he can do what the Reds need.
