Aston Villa center-back Ron Vlaar is set to leave as he eyes to play for a big club. Manchester United and Arsenal both are interested in his services.
Both the Premier League sides have been searching for a center-back to solve their defensive issues. Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has already worked with Vlaar during the World Cup while managing Netherlands and it seems that he might prefer United.
It was also reported few days ago that Manchester United will make him their first Winter singing.
While on the other hand, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is taking serious interest in the-29-year-old defender.
His agent Arnold Oosterveer told the Mirror: “It is obvious that for Ron, now is the moment to make a nice big move in his career. Ron is very ambitious.”
His agent told that it is the right time to switch to a better place. It is his ambition to play for a big club.
Ron will be 30 in the coming February and he is eyeing to play Champions League football before he loses his form.
The Dutchman has a contact with Villa till the summer and the club will be selling him in the January in order to avoid his free move at the end of the season. He will be sold for a cheap price.
Vlaar joined Aston Villa from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2012. He has played 52 games since his move.
Vlaar is a perfect choice for both the sides, but which side should he join?
