Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has suffered an injury while training with his international squad.
The Guardian reported that the Spain international keeper dislocated his smallest finger of the right hand while on Euro 2016 session. The 24-year-old will be assessed by the Spanish doctors before sending him back to United.
According to Spanish media outlet sefutbol: “Spain’s goalkeeper David de Gea was sidelined from training session after dislocating the little finger on his right hand. He will remain with the Spain squad while the medical services of the Spanish FA evaluate the extent of the injury.”
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will be disappointed with this news as he is already having so much defensive problems.
United defenders Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and some others are already out since long and now goalkeeper has also joined them on the sideline.
Manchester United will visit London to face Arsenal on 22nd November and with no David de Gea means a chance for the second keeper Anders Lindegaard who is yet to make an appearance this season.
Manchester United have been in link with former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdez in the past days and now it seems that Louis van Gaal will land him as soon as possible.
While nothing is there for Spain to worry about him as he is not a first choice keeper. Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is also out with a hamstring injury. Spain will play Belarus in Huelva tonight.
