Arsenal are already in need of a defensive midfielder as Mathiue Flamini and Mikel Arteta both have struggled this season. The 24-year-old is expected to sign a deal with the Gunners soon according to Brazilian media. Romelu has a game style as of former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira. Arsenal have not found a midfielder yet who can revive those old days of Vieira.
The Brazilian has played 22 League games for the Russian side Spartak Moscow since his move from Vasco da Gama in 2012.
