Manchester United are set to seal the deal for Athletic Bilbao star Aymeric Laporte, according to Mirror reports.
The reports have revealed that the Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal is on the verge of landing the highly rated 20-year-old wonder talent who is also being eyed by the duo London outfits Arsenal and Chelsea.
Laporte has been one of the top talents currently in the Spanish League. He has been a regular since breaking into the first team in 2013. He has made 16 La Liga appearances so far this season. The Frenchman has also made five vital Champions League appearances.
The reports further claimed that the deal between Manchester United and Athletic Bilbao are almost done and the player will be moving to England for a medical soon.
His impressive displays have alerted many of the top European clubs, however, Louis van Gaal is finally set to beat the other interested parties including German side Bayern Munich with his €32million bid.
It would be a great addition for United as they are struggling this season with their defensive line. The first half of the season was kind of injury prone half as their majority of defenders were out.
