Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has revealed his happiness at the club but also told that if he leaves, he will have no regrets.
The Frenchman has been a sensational star for the Arsene Wenger’s side this season. He has made big improvements and has taken the defensive midfielder's responsibility easily in the absence of Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere.
Coquelin has made 20 appearances for the Gunners so far this term.
Coquelin revealed that his decision to join Arsenal as a kid is now making him happy. He has been playing exceptional football since his return from Charlton Athletic earlier this season.
Coquelin told Ouest France when asked about his decision to leave France as a kid: “One might have said that, but not since the last four months!”
It is surely difficult to leave homeland at a very early age but it was a challenge as it was about Arsenal.
Coquelin agreed a new long term deal last month which will keep him until 2019.
He further added that he knows that he and Jack Wilshere are the only two who have reached first team from their academy group. There were also several names who are now playing in lower divisions clubs.
In the end he added that he will leave if Arsenal want him to but without regrets.
"If tomorrow, I was asked to leave, I would have no regrets.”
