Barcelona centre-back Thomas Vermaelen has finally returned from hamstring injury and is likely to be debuted soon.
Barcelona signed him from Arsenal for a fee around 15 million pounds in the summer but the player has not been able to play a game due to his hamstring injury.
Vermaelen played five seasons at Arsenal before joining the La Liga giants in the summer.
The reports have now revealed that he has returned to training for the first time since having a surgery on his injury.
The former Arsenal star is now eyeing to get a chance in Barca first team and help the team with his abilities.
Barcelona revealed on the website that the main positive point in today’s training was Thomas Vermaelen. The Belgian completed full training with the first team members.
He picked up the injury in the World Cup game against Russia last year, since then he has not played a competitive game.
The questions were there at the time of the deal that why Barca would sign an injured defender. But now the fans are desperate to see the Belgian star.
The 29-year-old is likely to be debuted after the international break next month.
