Premier League outfits Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a blow in their chase for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann, according to TalkSport.
Both the London sides were keeping tabs on the highly rated midfielder but will now have to search for other midfielders as the 24-year-old has sealed new long term deal at Borussia Monchengladbach which will keep him until the summer of 2019.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping an eye on him since 2013 but never tried to sign him.

While Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was keen to bolster his midfield with the addition of Herrmann at White Hart Lane.
The 24-year-old is currently waiting for a call from Germany national team. He is yet to make a debut despite of playing at every junior level.
