Anderlecht attacker Andy Najar has expressed his desire to play for Arsenal, according to Daily Mirror reports.
The 22-year-old scored a goal against Arsenal in the Champions League group stages earlier this season. He was the first Honduras player to have ever netted a goal in the Champions League. He said that a move to Arsenal would be a dream come true.
Najar was also a part of last year’s World Cup. The £4million-rated star is currently one of the top foreigners playing in the Belgian league, according to pundits.
Reports have linked him with Tottenham Hotspurs in the past but the player has a dream to play for the other side of the London.
Najar has been targeted by the London sides since his time at MLS side DC United. He also gave the trials at Spurs in 2011 when he was a teenager.
Najar said: “I would like to go to English football and have always had a team in England which has been my dream - Arsenal. I keep that in mind.”
He also added that he used to like Thierry Henry and always wanted to play for his side, Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are keeping strong tabs on Velez Sarsfield star Maxi Romero, as per Metro reports.
