Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal will fight for Barcelona defensive midfielder Alex Song, according to Daily Star.
The former Gunner midfielder has revealed his desire to stay in the Premier League after playing regular football this season at West Ham United.
Song is currently on a loan deal at West Ham for this season, he will return to Camp Nou in the summer.
The player has revealed his desire to stay in the Premier League as he could not get enough playing time at Barcelona.
Song left Arsenal for Barcelona for a fee around 15 million pounds in 2015, however never got a consistent run of games for the Spanish side. He was linked last summer with Liverpool but later signed a season long deal with the Hammers.

The reports claim that the Hammers are interested in making his move permanent but the player wants to play for a better club.
Song told: “I definitely want to stay here (in England). I don’t know (if I can sign a permanent deal at West Ham).”
The Cameroonian is keen to stay in England but not sure which club will he be playing next season.
The North London side might resign him as they are already searching for holding midfielders. Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho and Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin have been Arsenal’s top target.
