Arsenal have reignited their interest in Borussia Dortmund attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to German newspaper Bild.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to the Gunners prior to his move to Bundesliga side few years ago.

The German reports believe that the African attacking midfielder will cost around £30million and the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is planning to make a £28million bid in the next few days.

Aubameyang spent a wonderful last season at Dortmund, netting 16 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances.

Aubameyang scored 25 goals in all competitions last term.

The Gabon international who has capped 41 times for his country is known as one of the fastest footballer in Europe. He is also known for his attacking ability and ball control. He is considered to be a big threat to opponent defenders.

The reports claim that Aubameyang could be signed as Theo Walcott’s replacement who could be leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are not the only interested party, La Liga giants Real Madrid are also said to be interested in his deal.

Arsenal have also shortlisted Gonzalo Higuain or Karim Benzema of Napoli and Real Madrid, respectively. Both the players are expected to leave this summer.

If Real sign Aubameyang then Arsneal would have a clear chance to seal Benzema deal.
