Arsenal are eyeing to seal a deal for Nice full-back Jordan Amavi after his impressive displays for Ligue One side last season, according to reports.
The 21-year-old was signed last summer and became an important part for the team. He established himself as a regular player for the French side.
Amavi who has two year left on his contract is an attacking full-back, he made 37 appearances for the French outfit last term.
French side Lyon are also interested in his move, however Arsenal boss Arseee Wenger is keen to sign his countryman.
Arsenal are planning to sign the left-back as Kieran Gibbs is reportedly planning to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Gibbs who failed to keep his place in the starting eleven last season is expected to leave the club, he has been targeted by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. Gibbs will be leaving the club for regular football.
While Monreal was good for the north London side, he helped them to finish at the third spot in the league plus ended a season with a FA Cup trophy.
Nice have no plans to sell their young full-back, but they cannot do anything if the player wants to leave the club.
Amavi will not be denying a move to the Gunners as the English side can develop him in the right way.
