Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is set to complete his move to Aston Villa, according to SkySports.
The Togo international striker was spotted at Aston Villa training ground. The Sky Sources believe that the Spurs striker will be having a medical in the next few days.
The 31-year-old striker has been struggling at White Hart Lane for the past few seasons. Especially, after the arrival of manager Mauricio Pochettino, Adebayor failed to become an important for the team.
Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is eyeing him as a replacement of Christian Benteke who recently left the club for Liverpool.
Sherwood has already worked with him when was at Spurs. Adebayor played his best part under Sherwood. He scored 14 goals in 24 games for Spurs.
Adebayor scored 41 goals in 106 appearances for Tottenham Hotspurs since his move from Manchester City in 2011.
The former Arsenal striker was not part of Spurs preseason squad which traveled to USA this summer.
This move would be a great for the former Monaco striker as he can regain his top form under his former manager.
Adebayor is expected to complete his move later this week. He is likely to become the first team regular striker.
