The Gunners have been targeting him for the past several months and they were keen to secure his deal in the summer window, however they failed to sign as Juventus sealed the deal from Sassuolo for £18million.
The 24-year-old netted 21 goals in 69 games for Sassuolo during his two years of stay.
Despite of signing in the summer window the reports believe that the Turin side are in mood to let their forward go to Premier League in the winter window.
Juventus signed him as two of their last season’s forward left the club in the summer. Carlos Tevez moved back to his childhood club while Fernando Llorente joined Sevilla.
Meanwhile, Arsenal still struggling with striking issues, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger might try to seal a six month loan deal in January.
The North London side current striker Danny Welbeck is on the sidelines for few further months due to his injury while Olivier Giroud is yet to show any positive signs this season.
