Liverpool have officially announced the signing of Marko Grujic from SuperLiga club Red Star Belgrade, according to Liverpoolfc.com.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has completed his first move since his move few months ago.
The Reds are without several of center-backs Martin Skrtle, Kolo Toure and Dejan Lovren. The latter two picked up an injury last night while playing against Stoke City in the first leg of Capital One Cup semifinal. Both picked up the hamstring injury and would be missing next few weeks.
The Serbian youngster Marko Grujic could be getting a vital chance to prove himself due to the injury problems.
The 19-year-old has netted seven goals in 36 games so far in his career.
The six foot three inches wore the number 8 shirt at Red Star and could be taking the same jersey which was worn by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
The Serbian started from academy from where top names like Inter Milan midfielder Dejan Stankovic, former Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic and Manchester City full-back Aleksandar Kolarov started.
Meanwhile on the other hand, Arsenal are in the final stages of sealing Mohamed Elneny’s deal. The reports are also saying that Emmanuel Adebaoyor could be signing for Watford.
