Arsenal are keen to sign Premier League Champion Jamie Vardy from Leicester City this summer, according to SkySports.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign a striker this summer after struggling in front of goals once again in the recent season.
Jamie Vardy who has been selected for the Euro 2016 squad for England is valued at £20million, according to the release clause in his contract.
The 29-year-old had a great last season, he netted 24 goals in the Premier League and was only one goal behind the Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.
Vardy has four years left on his current contract and he could leave the Premier League Champions if a good offer is put on the table.
However, the Englishman told SkySports that he is looking for the Champions League with Leicester next season.
On the other hand, the North London side have been linked with big names including Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is looking for a new club after deciding to leave French giants Paris Saint Germain.
However, Manchester United new boss Jose Mourinho is also keeping tabs on the Swedish forward. The Portuguese boss is also hoping big from starlet Marcus Rashford who had a great first season at Old Trafford.

I think he would be a great addition but Arsenal should not pay more than 15million because he is 29.
ReplyDeleteto be honest im not really excited by this news,ok this year he scored many goals but the season before that he barely scored so we don,t know if he is going to keep on scoring or this was just a season wonder,on top of that he is 29 years old,i think his 20mils release close is way too high considering he has no re-sell value, having said that im glad to see arsene&arsenal doing some business and early this time around!!
