Southampton have signed Nathan Redmond from Norwich City for a fee around £11million, according to Daily Mirror.
The Saints have announced earlier today that they have sealed a five year Nathan Redmond deal for a fee around £11million.
Southampton are well aware of Liverpool links with their forward Sadio Mane who is expected to leave the club in the next few weeks.
The Reds have been in strong link with Mane over the past few days and it was reportedly revealed that the deal has been agreed between the club and the player.
Redmond has been signed as Mane’s replacement, as per several sources.
Mirror reported two weeks ago that the Saints are keeping close tabs on the Norwich man and were waiting for his return from vacations.
Redmond who netted six goals in league last season failed to survive in the Premier League.
Norwich were keen to keep their star man but it was well aware that the 22-year-old will leave the club for Premier League football.
Stoke City were also in the race and their goalkeeper Jack Butland was convincing his long term friend to join at the Britannia Stadium. However, Redmond decided to join the Saints. He will be joining the club next month in a preseason tour.
