West Ham United have made a £25 million bid for Arsenal forward Theo Walcott who is set to leave the club this summer.
Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott is expected to leave the club this summer after being linked with several other sides, according to Evening Standard.
West Ham have been in search for a speedy attacker after a great season which ended last month. The Hammers are keen to add more depth to the squad in order to remain consistent in the Premier League.
West Ham finished on seventh spot, four points behind the fourth spot side Manchester United.
The Englishman was not selected by Roy Hodgson for the European Championship squad due to the limited time he played at Arsenal in the recent season.
Premier League Champions Leicester City are also said to be interested in Walcott but the reports strongly claimed that West Ham are leading the race for the former Southampton star.
It is also reported that, Leicester City may demand Walcott in Jamie Vardy's deal who is expected to join the North London side this summer.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will discuss the future with Walcott in the coming week. Meanwhile, his agent is likely to hand a transfer request in the coming days.
