Jurgen Klopp arrived at Liverpool last October after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers. The German boss signed a three year deal that time with an option to extend.

Within a year he has penned a new long term which will keep him until 2022 at the Anfield Stadium.

Klopp had an impressive first season at Lvierpool, taking them into two finals; Capital One Cup and Europa League.

Klopp’s assistants Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz have also singed new deal.

The 49-year-old came to Anfield after an impressive seven year spell at Borussia Dortmund, where he lifted Bundesliga twice and took his side to the Champions League final.

Klopp said after the deal that he is very happy to sign a new deal along with Zeljko and Peter.

Liverpool have already signed three players so far this summer, Sadio Mane from Southampton, Loris Karius from FC Koln and Joel Matip from Schalke.

The Boss is still in search for quality players as he eyes for the Champions League qualification.

This would be good for both the club and the supporters because a manager like Klopp needs few years to turn an average team into a quality side.
