Depay joined the Red Devils from Dutchside PSV Eindhoven for £25million few years ago, but the winger who was called as the next Ronaldo failed to shine at Old Trafford. Now United are suffering a minor loss of around £4million.
United rejected £9m and £11.5m bids from Lyon earlier this week before agreeing on £16m with add-ons.
Everton were also keen on his deal but the bids made were not enough for United to sell their player.
Depay has agreed a four and a half year deal, as per the reports.
The Netherlands international made only seven appearances for United this season. Intotal, he scored seven goals 52 appearances during his one and a half year spell at United.
