Manchester United have suffered another blow as summer signing Daley Blind picked up an injury while playing for Netherlands.
The Dutch defender Daley Blind suffered a knee injury against Latvia yesterday. United have already been struggling this season with their injury list and now Blind has given more trouble to manager Louis van Gaal. Blind has joined goalkeeper David de Gea and Michael Carrick who both suffered injuries during international duty.
The 24-year-old who joined United in summer has played 8 games in the Premier League so far.
Netherlands boss Guus Hiddink told: “I’m rather negative I think it’s a medial ligament that is twisted. It might be a rupture.”
Manchester United will be playing Arsenal in the coming weekend in a Premier League game and Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Rafael, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind all are set to miss the London trip.
United boss Louis van Gaal answered when he was asked on the availability of the above players: “No, I don’t think so because now some of them have already not played for five, six, seven weeks.” Even if anyone of them returns from injury, van Gaal will not rush him as they have not played since long.
Meanwhile for Arsenal, it’s a big positive point that the Red Devils will have to face defensive problems before travelling to London. While attacking threats remain the same with Robin van Persie, Angel di Maria, Wayne Rooney and reports have also revealed that striker Radamel Falcao is expected to feature against the Gunners.

Where everyone was busy talking and gossiping about games and transfers, one particular news really caught my attention...the recent omission of Costa and Fab tell us something about Jose. Being left the club for years, I think he is back for a real deal..not even the Roman has any say being part of the agreement which I won't be caught by surprised though...where you can see the influence he had for Spain and the players. If you says that the duo pulled out from the squad is nothing to do with Jose I highly doubt it. Even the Spain coach had to be afraid of him by saying no confrontation...I just can't imagine how powerful this Jose could be at the angles where we all couldn't have seen...
