Forbes reveals Top five highest paid footballers of 2014: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saints Germain).

American magazine Forbes has revealed the list of highest paid footballers of 2014. The same names come up almost as of last year. Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona star Lionel Messi again in the list.

Below are the top five highest paid footballers of 2014:

1. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid superstar leads the list. The two times Ballon d’Or winner has already showed his class this season with 20 goals so far. With his exceptional performances for Madrid, Fiorentio Perez has made him the highest paid player of 2014. The amount is around $80million a years.

2. Lionel Messi (Barcelona)
Four times Ballon d’Or winner is on second place. Barcelona are not performing top this season but Lionel Messi is still proving himself that he is consistent as always. He earns around $65million a year.

3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saints Germain)
French big spenders Paris Saints Germain have put their star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on third. The Swedish man is 33-year-old and still earning around $40million per annum because of his class and qualities. He has already built a fine reputation by scoring exceptional goals.


4. Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)
World record signing is another man from Real Madrid. The Spanish giants paid a huge amount to lure him from Tottenham Hotspurs in the summer of 2013. He is proving his worth and earning around $36.4million a year.

5. Radamel Falcao (On loan to Manchester United from Moncao)
Moncao striker who is currently on a two-year loan at Manchester United is the fifth and last player in this list. He is earning around $35million per year.
