In a unanimous decision by the once Premier League side Sheffield United and now playing in the lower decision of English League. That decision is condemned by the large number of masses in and around Great Britain but still the club is persistent that Chad Evans, the footballer who was convicted of the crime, has served the consequences of his act and is ready to return to the game.
Chad Evans, who played 16 times for the current Premier League Champions Manchester City, during his prime in 2007-09 was regarded highly by the officials at the Etihad. However, nearing the climax of his career after seeing one after other downslides, Evans is now on contract with Sheffield United.
Being regarded as highly during his prime days, he played for Wales National team and scored the goal on his debut for the Welsh side which proved to be the winner at the end of 90 minutes.
However, what can be called as the most notorious incident related to any human being, Chad Evans was convicted to the rape assault of a 19-year-old and being deemed as guilty then, the Welsh was sentenced to 5 years in prison however in a legal turn of events, he was released after serving two years of his sentence.
Looking at the moral picture of this incident and what message would that incident send to the supporters of the modern game, several of the sponsors of Sheffield United have refused to sponsor the team further and one of the elite fan, Ennis Hill, a gold medal winner for Britain against whom is named a stand, has decided to ask the club to pull off his name should they decide to play Evans.
However, as these verses are written, Sheffield United has refused to refrain Evans from playing and they have supported him in full.
