Premier League side Arsenal are targeting Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons, as per Mirror reports.
Arsenal who were linked with several midfielders in the January window are now likely to revive their midfielder interest as Mirror reported that Arsene Wenger is eyeing Lyon star player Maxime Gonalons.
Arsenal have been watching the 25-year-old Frenchman for the past two years and are now finally ready to land him in the summer. The reports further reveal that Lyon star is also planning to leave the club when the transfer window reopens after the end of this season.
Arsenal are still in need of a holding midfielder and the French star is likely to solve their midfield issues.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is planning a £15million bid for Gonalons who is also a target of local side Tottenham Hotspur and Serie A outfit Napoli.
Gonalons is a regular player for the Ligue One side, he has made more than 200 appearances since breaking into the first team.
Gonalons is fine midfielder and would be a great addition to the squad as he can solve Arsenal midfield issues.
