Arsenal long term target Stefan de Vrij is set to seal new contract extension at the Italian side Lazio, according to Italian reports.
The London sides Arsenal and Chelsea both have been reportedly keeping tabs on the player for the past several months.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been struggling with the defensive issues, recently a penalty conceded by Laurent Koscielny took their two points at home. Also Per Mertesacker is yet to return from his injury.

However, Wenger believes that it was Mark Clattenburg’s decision to give a penalty despite it was a very soft tackle.
The Frenchman said: “For me it was a soft penalty, a very soft one.”
Arsenal are now on third spot, two points behind league leaders Liverpool who have topped the group for the first time this season.
